Weddings, under normal circumstances, happen only once in a lifetime. With this in mind, it is a must that one carefully get the best wedding photographer to capture their very precious moments. There’s no second chance, nor a replay of the events, so every moment, every emotion must be artistically captured by the hired photographer. One point to look at this: “Long after the band stops playing, the guests have gone home, the flowers have wilted, all that will remain are memories and photographs.”
Searching for the perfect wedding photographer is one of the toughest decisions that the couple will have to make. The important factors to consider are: the skills, the rate and the availability. Searching may be a daunting task but here are some ways and tips on how to easily do it.
1. Attend bridal fairs. Tons of wedding photographers converge in expos offering their lowest rates possible or compete their packages to others by offering lots of freebies.
2. Read the latest wedding magazines.
3. Join bridal e-communities and peruse closely their supplier ratings.
4. “Google” for a wedding photographer in your locality. For example if you hail from the East Midlands, you can search for “Nottingham Wedding Photographer“.
Speaking of wedding photography in Nottingham, I found one English photographer’s site whose works are promising. Looking at his portfolio, you can certainly tell that he has the eye in capturing those magical wedding moments. His package rates are also competitive. In fact, you can avail their impressive services for as low as £300 for a package. After the wedding, the couple would definitely want to see their photos right away. He has this 28 days guarantee where you can have your processed images for free if they couldn’t deliver on time. This goes to show that he certainly works superb and fast.

I don’t have any photos of locks that’s why I just featured my own interpretation of a “lock”. These are our wedding cord and wedding rings..symbolizing our unity and love, exclusively locked for each other.

If you’re running out of ideas what to gift a friend, a relative or a colleague who’s a photo hobbyist, here’s one cool idea that will surely hit.

A Camera Cake.
Giving him a DSLR would surely be costly. It may not be as precious as a pearl jewelry but this edible camera will surely please him. He may not be able to take pictures using it, but at least he can take great photos using his real camera with full stomach.
This cake was made by Chedzcakes, a Cebu-based cake designer for weddings, debuts, birthdays, and other events.

When we got married four years ago, we had paper soaps beautifully repackaged in heart bottles with sinamay baskets as our wedding favors. In addition to that, we also served personalized M&M chocolates with our names on it on the guests’ table. Our guests loved them and they find it unique and fabulous.

Our wedding sweets didn’t stop there as we had a chocolate fountain by the entrance of the ballroom where the guests take a dip into the overflowing luscious, creamy and sinfully delicious chocolate.
A lot of couples now rave about and prefer chocolate wedding favors. One, they symbolize wish for sweetness all throughout the couple’s marriage and two, they give a touch of luxury while still being relatively inexpensive. So if you are to tie the knot soon, give chocolate wedding favors a try.

Whenever I see beautiful weddings, I can’t help but feel nostalgic high and reminisce my own wedding four years ago. It was not as grand and luxurious as the others, but it was how exactly we’ve pictured it should be. Simple yet intimate with all the guests feeling how deeply we were in love. When I was younger and so idealistic, I dreamt of having a beach wedding. I find destination weddings so exciting and romantic like let’s say have it in one of the Karisma Hotels in Riviera Maya. I’ve read a story about a couple getting wedded at El Dorado and I was swooned how their wedding made the place even more intimate and really romantic. When I asked my husband would he exchange that wedding to ours, he said that he wouldn’t. He loves each and every detail of our wedding and he wouldn’t change a thing about it. BUT, if we have the enough resources on our silver wedding anniversary he said that without second thoughts, he will definitely bring me to one of the Karisma Hotels and there we would renew our vows. Sweet!

Sharing the pics of our wedding bands shot by our wedding photographer, Kenneth Uy. Browsing our online wedding gallery made me sentimental at this moment. We’re celebrating our fourth year wedding anniversary six months from now. Looking back, we’ve gone through a lot of highs and lows, of joys and pains, of triumphs and losses…and looking where we are currently now, I could reaffirm that we’re blessed. Blessed to have each other and despite our imperfections, we’re sailing through our marriage in a bliss. I can’t wait until our 10th year anniversary when we’ll renew our vows. It’d be nice to experience being a bride again and get married to the same person you’ve vowed to be faithful with. As early as now, I can imagine myself wearing the same gown I wore before (haha! as if I’ll still fit) and reciting again our vows. Hopefully our wedding bands would still fit into our fingers by then but if not, ordering at Holsted Jewelers is just one click away. They offer exclusively designed jewelry such as costume jewelry rings, gifts and accessories to millions of satisfied customers since the ’70s. So do we now start the countdown?
