So you’re all set to play Airsoft. You might have finally purchased your first airsoft BB rifle tactical equipment, you have your gears ready, you have a game plan in mind. But are you really all geared up for the game? Ideally, before setting out on a combat, one needs to be familiarized well with his equipment to maximize its usage and make it work best to your advantage.

When you are using an Airsoft rifle you want to get the most out of your efforts. That means learning how to make some adjustments to your weapon in order to improve your aim. Below are some tips and ideas that can help you get the most from your Airsoft BB arsenal possible.

Adjusting the BB Airsoft Rifle Sights

After you’ve paid attention to the hop up, you’ll probably want to turn your attention to the guns’ sights. You don’t buy a UHC airsoft only to have poorly aligned sights ruin your shots. With these, you’ll again have to do some practice shots. You’ll actually follow a very similar procedure but make sure to place the box about as far away from you as you hope to be from your real targets. Shoot a few rounds from your airsoft bb rifle then see what you discover about the sights. Chances are that some adjustments are going to be needed.

Once you’ve finished with some of the shots, take a look at where the bbs hit the box in relation to the spot you were aiming at. This is going to tell you in which direction your sights need to be adjusted. Now you’ll want to refer to your manual to determine exactly how to adjust those sights on your specific model. The details vary. Remember that after you make the changes you should return to the box, make a new spot, and repeat the process. Keep trying until you get your sights positioned the way you want them.

Overall, taking these pre-emptive measures is going to help you have a more satisfactory experience with your overall weapon firing. Whether you’re interested in target practice or playing a round of airsoft, your airsoft bb rifle needs to deliver accuracy and that can only happen thanks to your efforts.

Tweak Your Rifle Air Soft Hop Up

The term “hop up” may not be something you are familiar with if you haven’t already gotten some experience in this area. In the guns, the hop up is a system built into the inner barrel. As the ammunition passes into this part, it is slowed down to correct for accuracy. As a result, you’ll have a better chance of hitting your target. The slowdown is also not that noticeable but it does give you more control over the arc of the BB.

Not all of the airsoft pellet guns are going to have this feature but if you’ve invested a decent sum of money in yours then you should expect it. Before you make adjustments to your hop up, you should fire a few practice rounds to determine the current trajectory and distance the BB is traveling. If you notice any advanced curving or if the BB is falling short of your desired range, refer to the manual which came with your weapon and increase your hop up. Keep tweaking the performance until you are satisfied. This might take a few adjustments but the end results will be worth it.

While conducting a mini photoshoot of my in laws’ dog, Jumong, today in the garden, our neighbor’s cat oddly menacing and distracting it. My attempts to shoo the cat from afar wasn’t effective and almost drained my patience. Guess what the husband used that forced it to flee..his ever reliable airsoft rifle. Of course, he didn’t targeted the cat as he didn’t intend to harm it, he just sort of made a “warning shot”…and it was effective.

I have just forwarded my recent post about the ONESPORT Photo Competition 2009 to a photo hobbyist friend. I saw recently his photo galleries in his facebook and among his latest shots are his upgraded gears and lenses for his Canon 50D and a number of magnificent shots taken at the World Ten Ball Championship and Drag Racing Event. He surely can capture sports photos artistically. He said he might try to join because very timely, there’s a Paintball Championship Event he’s gonna cover in their office. So from photography, our conversation was brought to paint ball gears and airsoft guns. I was able to catch up with his thoughts because I just recently visited the website of ZephyrAirsoft.com. Orlando Magic that is. As of writing, the Finals Game 2 between the Lakers and Magic are on its last minutes of the very exciting Overtime period. I actually can’t concentrate doing this entry and it seems Game 2 is going the Lakers’ way but it’s okay. Magic will take the remaining games all the way until they grab the championship ring. Mark my word! In between watching and doing this post, I’m also chatting with my two US-based friends via Twitter and are both rooting for the Lakers. I can sense how excited they are with their tweets. They’re watching at their very homes but they feel as if they’re in Staples Center watching the game live. NPR: Lakers Take Game 1.

Yeah right. But I’d rather not dwell on how the poor Magic lost. After all, it’s just Game 1. It’s definitely not the end of the season yet and Game 2 will certainly be theirs. I couldn’t concentrate watching the game yesterday because I have plenty of online tasks lined up so I was like glancing from the laptop monitor to the TV and back. I wasn’t actually sure if I was making sense with my write ups but what the heck, I’d love to see how the Magic fought until the end. I’m hoping for a better game and match up next time though. Hoping to see more Dwight and Lebron action. As for my brother who was so excited to see his Lakers win and cheering madly, he better tone down his voice on the next game. His yells and voice were even louder than the TV. He makes me want so bad to have a home theater speaker system package, perhaps with that his noise is just a whisper to the marvelous and blaring bass of this speaker. If not still, then I guess I don’t have a choice but stick onto my ears a headphone instead…or better, an earplug.

NPR: Combat Time.

One of the things I miss about working in the corporate world are the teambuildings, excursions and night outs that I used to enjoy with my colleagues. Recently, I heard that they went to Global Gutz and played paintball. I haven’t seen their pictures yet but from my sister’s (who took over my position when I resigned) account, it was fun. She says that it’s much different if you get to experience it yourself..the hype, energy, thrill and excitement of being in a combat. I haven’t tried playing paintball and from her stories, I’m now itching to try it too. Perhaps, I could invite my twitter friends so we get to experience shooting each other with paintguns not only with our SLRs (by the way, photography is our common passion). Of course, that would be a great photo op, too. I’m now going to search for paintball catalogs so that if they’ll agree and join, we have a ready reference of paintball gears and accessories to use.

NPR: It’s Lakers VS Magic.

So it’s gonna be Orlando Magic who’ll face the Los Angeles Lakers in this season’s finals. Actually, I’m not a NBA fan but I do know about the latest updates especially with the season’s upcoming finals because that’s what everyone’s been talking out loud at Facebook. Plus, the TV’s on sports channel always whenever the husband’s home. So I don’t have a choice but to join in cheering for the team that he’s rooting for. Yes, that’s what you call a supportive wife. LOL.

And it seems I can’t get enough, I got to chat with a long time buddy a while ago and he kept on yakking how great Kobe is and how happy that the Lakers will have a home court advantage on the first couple of the finals game. He won’t be able to watch it live though because he had a tough time securing for tickets. Anyway, they have ESPN on their Direct TV package and watching it on a Direct Satellite TV is just like watching live right inside the Staples Center with its stunning high definition. For more of DirecTV Specials and its latest offerings, check out their site. Meanwhile, hope my friend forgives me for not rooting for his Kobe because the husband’s on Magic’s side.
