In our Online Exchange Gift with my fellow Twitter Bebots last year, I had the Book 1 as part of my Wish List and unfortunately, Santa didn’t give it to me. This year, I’ll include Book 1 again (as per budget guidelines), still hoping that Santa will grant it to me this time. :)

How To Search For A Good Wedding Photographer.

Weddings, under normal circumstances, happen only once in a lifetime. With this in mind, it is a must that one carefully get the best wedding photographer to capture their very precious moments. There’s no second chance, nor a replay of the events, so every moment, every emotion must be artistically captured by the hired photographer. One point to look at this: “Long after the band stops playing, the guests have gone home, the flowers have wilted, all that will remain are memories and photographs.”

Searching for the perfect wedding photographer is one of the toughest decisions that the couple will have to make. The important factors to consider are: the skills, the rate and the availability. Searching may be a daunting task but here are some ways and tips on how to easily do it.
1. Attend bridal fairs. Tons of wedding photographers converge in expos offering their lowest rates possible or compete their packages to others by offering lots of freebies.
2. Read the latest wedding magazines.
3. Join bridal e-communities and peruse closely their supplier ratings.
4. “Google” for a wedding photographer in your locality. For example if you hail from the East Midlands, you can search for “Nottingham Wedding Photographer“.

Speaking of wedding photography in Nottingham, I found one English photographer’s site whose works are promising. Looking at his portfolio, you can certainly tell that he has the eye in capturing those magical wedding moments. His package rates are also competitive. In fact, you can avail their impressive services for as low as £300 for a package. After the wedding, the couple would definitely want to see their photos right away. He has this 28 days guarantee where you can have your processed images for free if they couldn’t deliver on time. This goes to show that he certainly works superb and fast.

Manila Kiddie Party Photographers.

We held a party for my son last March for his 1st birthday and I’ve got a first hand experience of how daunting it is to hunt and search for the right (and I have to emphasize, affordable) photographers who specializes in shooting baptisms, kiddie parties and the like.

I compiled a list of Manila-based kiddie party photographers whom I have greatly considered for my son’s party and hopefully, this will help moms in selecting the best lensman for them who will capture their kid’s event artistically.

1. John Aguas Photography

2. Jeff and Pia Lopez Photography

3. Ging Lorenzo Photography

4. Cute Prints Photography

5. Ces Kasilag Photography

6. Michelle Morelos Photography

7. Dino Lara Photography

8. Jo Lim Photography
Website: http://jolimphotography.blogspot.com/

Please note though that, except for John Aguas and Jeff Lopez, I’ve not dealt with the other photographers yet so I can’t fully vouch their rates, service and works. This entry just aims to provide a short directory of kiddie party photographers’ sites/galleries/portfolio who are well sought and most booked in two fora that I’m a member of. This is in pursuit to help those who are currently planning their child’s parties. For further feedback, supplier reviews, ratings and other questions, please check out the Girl Talk Kid’s Parties and Preparations Thread.

For moms who have other information about their child’s recent party’s photographer or if simply you have a reco in mind, please drop me a line or email me (maileen1[at]yahoo[dot]com) so I can include them in the list.

First Kiddie Party Shoot.

Photography is one of our common passions between hubby and me. Actually, I got interested first into such when I started digital scrapping a few years back. It is from then that I thought, photos indeed are the greatest way to preserve and cherish each valuable moments of our lives including those random details and instances we encounter each day.

When we bought our S3 IS toy more than a year ago, it is then that I realized that hubby has the eye and skill of capturing great photos. So I encourage him to try and he got interested…thus, I didn’t have a hard time convincing him to buy our very first DSLR, which is our “Nikky”, a Nikon D60.

After a few months playing with Nikky, guess who who’s more better now in terms of capturing images with great angles, nice aperture and good concepts…he is. This afternoon is his first ever kiddie party shoot. Our niece, Kylie, is celebrating her first birthday and my SIL contracted his services..of course, for free. It’s a nice opportunity for the husband to practice more of his photography skills. Who knows, in the near future, he’ll be contracted for photoshoots with a fee.

Lawyer-Slash-Photographer.

Just browsed Atty. Raymund Fortun’s photoblog this morning and I’m just amazed how he manages to squeeze in this hobby/business (he covers weddings) to his overly busy trial and court schedules and proceedings. Further, I’m just amazed how his right and left side of brain equally function well. They say that dominance of either side of the brain determines if one’s more creative or logical. In his case, neither part is dominant..or should I say, both are.

Just to recap, he’s a member of the defense panel in Erap’s plunder case. He’s also the lawyer of some of the biggest stars in showbiz. So that only means, his name is big in the court and justice world. Then check out his calendar (specifically the month of December) how is he fully booked with weddings. He’s also one of the voted Top 10 suppliers in Weddingsatwork. Yes, he’s now also one of the most sought after wedding photographers these days. Perhaps, “Atty Photographer” should now be his title. LOL.
