A Food Blog..Soon!

I slept late last night because I’ve started working [finally] on my newest online niche…that is, a food blog. It’s been about a month already since I purchased its “interesting” domain but tons of tasks poured my way in the past two weeks that I had to defer working on it. Last week, a good friend helped me migrate the hosting to hers and installed wordpress as its platform. Then just last night, I finally began dressing it up. Have started posting a lot of food-related stuffs there including diet pills because as common to many, food is synonymous to such. Or it could also be more of a cause and effect thing, like excessive food is equal to diet pills intake. Anyway, I’m still tweaking the site a little bit and perhaps within this week, I’m going to unveil my newest online niche. See you there!

Pizza Overload.

Two slices..hmm make that two and one fourth slices of Yellow Cab Roasted Garlic and Shrimp pizza is what I stuffed my tummy for snacks this afternoon. My MIL has never tasted Yellow Cab and we (husband and I) promised her last week that we’ll treat her today. So at exactly 3:30 pm, I dialed 789-9999, the Yello Cab Delivery Number. We ordered one of their special pizzas which is the Four Seasons where four variants of their flavors are equally made into a one whole of pizza. Just a few minutes later, no traces of the pizza can be found except for the big box and leftover condiments (hot sauce and crushed chili). My MIL found the pizza really delectable and was able to devoured two slices as well. She even exclaimed that she’ll be needing the most effective weight loss pills to counteract the load of fats and carbs she just stuffed herself with. LOL.

Ooppps..my apologies for not being able to share a picture of our yummy feast. I was too hungry to even take a break, run and snag the camera.

The Love For Eating.

Don’t get my title wrong, I know it sounds so glutton but what I’ll yak about is my love for food. Call it a blessing and every plump girl’s envy, I have a skinny built. It could probably be genes because since childhood, I have always been on the lighter and smaller side. My Mom and siblings are more on the leaner side too. So diet pills are definitely out of the picture here. We should dine together and you’ll see how voracious my appetite is especially if my favorite food is waiting on the table. Even after giving birth, I was able to shed off fast my pregnancy fats. In fact, my weight now of just 90 pounds is even lesser than my average pre-pregnancy weight. Breastfeeding for sixteen months (and counting) plus motherhood stress are the major reasons of my rapid weight loss. One advantage of having scrawny built is that I’m not limiting my food intake. So yes, you may take me to any restaurant of your choice, I’d gladly devour buffet with you.

fatduck
Speaking of restos, I’ve just read a few excerpts of the big fat duck cookbook specifically about the humble beginnings of The Fat Duck, voted twice the Best Restaurant in the World by a peer group of top chefs. I learned about their infamous snail porridge and bacon-and-egg ice cream, sounds weird and unfathomable, but my inquisitive taste buds yearn to try it. I wonder if there’s someone who can buy me the said book from Borders Book Shop. We can find great deals at Borders.co.uk on an extensive selection of Books, CDs, DVDs, Magazine subscriptions and more, all with FREE delivery to stores. 50 of his signature recipes – sardine on toast sorbet, salmon poached with liquorice, hot and iced tea, chocolate wine, etc are featured on the same book and I’m thinking of trying it too so I can personally satisfy my buds.

Toasted Bread.

My husband loves toasted bread for snacks. I would just pop a sliced bread with margarine into our retro toaster, sprinkle some sugar, open a can of chilled soda then he’s solved. That’s why he really went nuts when our toaster conked out. I’m checking out right now the said guide so I know which brand and the specifications we’ll require so that shopping will be done without much hassle on Sunday. I just simply can’t let the Big Boss starve.

Camera Cake.

If you’re running out of ideas what to gift a friend, a relative or a colleague who’s a photo hobbyist, here’s one cool idea that will surely hit.

A Camera Cake.

Giving him a DSLR would surely be costly. It may not be as precious as a pearl jewelry but this edible camera will surely please him. He may not be able to take pictures using it, but at least he can take great photos using his real camera with full stomach.

This cake was made by Chedzcakes, a Cebu-based cake designer for weddings, debuts, birthdays, and other events.

Bright and red lanterns inside the cafe we dined at the other weekend making the ambiance more conducive to hearty and big feasting. This is the first time we ate here and I love the dining experience..from the sumptuous food to the elegant and homey interiors to friendly staff.

This is my 16-month-old son’s corn soup when we dined at Tokyo Cafe for our Father’s Day lunch the other weekend. He loved it that he consumed it in minutes.

“Did you ever see the customers in health-food stores? They are pale, skinny people who look half dead. In a steak house, you see robust, ruddy people. They’re dying, of course, but they look terrific.”
~Bill Cosby

From a chocolate banana parfait to a sinfully delicious chocolate s’mores cake, now comes a Garlic Creamy Hamburgh Steak photo share. My apologies if I’ve been getting you drooled for the recent photo sharing I’ve been doing. Believe me, I don’t mean to have them uploaded simultaneously. Those are really the recent photos me and the husband took in the last few days. As I’ve blogged, we had a sumptuous Father’s Day lunch at Tokyo Cafe last week, thus, all the tastefully looking and tempting food photos. Our tummies were the most satisfied and I tell you, don’t be surprised if the next photos I am photo sharing are diet pills. Haha! Hubby thinks that he’s gained a kilo in a span of just one week. Lucky me I don’t gain weight that fast so I’m not worried even if I glutton.
