I did not have a very good “honeymoon” phase with my internet service provider. God knows how I almost went crazy having to suffer such an ordeal of long installation lead time, crazy initial connection and disappointing customer service. My work requires that I have a fast and steady internet connection all the time. So the least I want to experience is being driven at my wit’s end because of slow, intermittent to no connection at all. But now, things are way a lot better. I still experience bad connections at times but for most instances, I can say that our ISP has been meeting fairly well our expectations. Now with a steady connection and with the help of a web site directory, my blogs are raking in more riches now. Woohoo!

I try to capture my son’s random moments when he is his comical or smart self like when he’s exhibiting a new antic or new discovery. Glad that albeit “primitive”, my Nokia 7210 Supernova has been a reliable and ready memory keeper. It has sort of become my point and shoot cam. The resolution’s just 2 MP but it’s quite good for a mobile phone cam. I bought it a micro SD card for an added memory space so I can take as many photos as I can. I treat all pf my son’s photos so dearly. They are like diamonds to me, so very precious and cherished. I transfer these photos right away via a card memory reader to my laptop and upload to my Flickr, Facebook and blogs. So to my Supernova phone, thank you and I look forward to capture instantly more Asher’s special moments with you.

Most of the financial experts recommend that an investor should have at least 25% in his portfolio consisting of tangible assets like silver, gold in bullions as well as gold coin. It’s a fact that the world is always unstable: domestic and international strife that occurs often, declining trend of the US dollar value, terrorism, and several other factors prompt one to search for investment alternatives since these scenarios dampens the bond, real estate and stock markets. To protect one’s portfolio, buying gold coins from US Gold Bureau is an important hedge against these economic turmoil. Gold has an immense profit and appreciation potential.

I really feel bad that we eagerly disposed our point and shoot camera when we acquired Nikky (Nikon D60 DLSR) two years ago. We love our DSLR because of its amazing output but there are just times that we find the cam too bulky to bring. These are the times when I miss our old point and shoot camera and I now feel like buying a new one. I’ve been hearing great raves from my friends about the Panasonic’s Lumix Series. It is a compact digital still camera on which a SLR gear may be complemented or used with. Thank God for online reviews that I read (very comprehensive as the acne treatments reviews I’ve also just read for a stubborn pimple on my forehead now), I’m convinced to include this in my Gadget To Buy list next year. The LX5 is the latest release but I think I’m good with the LX3 which is available for Php 23,500 at DPOnline.

A Nikon SB-400 AF Speedlight Flash
Compact, lightweight Speedlight unit
18mm angle of coverage with Nikon DX format digital SLR cameras
Bounce capabilities in 4 steps up to 90 degrees; flash shooting distance range from 2 and up to 66 feet
Approximate guide number of 98.4 feet at ISO 200 (at 18mm zoom head setting)
Operates on two AA-size (1.5V) batteries; fast 2.5 second recycling time
This has been a long time wish but with the Little Mansion project that we had to prioritize, we momentarily put off all of our whims. But now that our finances are breathing a little bit loosely now, I think I can finally grant his wish this coming Christmas. He rarely blurts out his gift wishes so I must take this chance that he’s not giving me a hard time thinking what to give him. Actually, I’ve also really been longing to have this flash for a better and brighter lighting effect but not necessarily exposing the stubborn and unsightly blackheads on the nose of the subject. I just have to search more extensively though because our favorite photography store, DPOnline, seems like do not offer this model anymore. The “lowest” model they have on their catalog is the SB-600 (Php 12,500) which, unfortunately, is also out of stock at the moment. Nyek!
