Tol’s Campaign.
Guess who was here in the neighborhood just a couple of hours ago. Well, it’s none other than “Tol”, a Quezon City mayoralty candidate in the upcoming elections. A basketball league was organized by a big time neighbor and the opening was conducted early this evening. He graced the opening so it was as if there was a grand fiesta here in our street. The basketball court was put up along the street, just a few steps away from our house. Then to make the opening more extravagant, the organizer gave away free food for all. For a while, I thought our street was transformed into an evacuation center where people queue up to have some of the giveaways. My son and I went out to the street and took a peek of the basketball game the husband was watching and at the same time, see “tol” up close. However, he hasn’t arrived that time. But nevertheless, I’ve seen how his presence comes with an agenda. Of course, it’s a part of his election campaign already. I wouldn’t wonder if I saw flyers and campaign materials like personalized pens, shirts, fans, etc. But fortunately, only a big streamer and a speech of how will he transform Quezon City were seemingly the campaign tools that he had.
