Our Future Driver

Just by looking at the content of my son’s toy chest now, I just know that tons of toy cars, matchboxes and toy trucks will be added into it each year. As early as now, he now has, or should I say, his Daddy has collected 6 Ferrari toy matchboxes for him. These are the Ferrari racing cars that were put on Php 99 promo for every tank up at a gasoline station before. As young as he is, he knows how to play with these toy cars already and he enjoys letting them revved up and banging and bumping each other. Then he also has a Chicco toy car that he can ride, maneuvered and manual power through his feet. His Daddy also gifted him a Plasma Car last Christmas. I am quite amazed how he has mastered to drive them and how he developed his sense of direction so fast. He can steer the wheel and can get to any direction or location he pleases. It looks like we need to save up as early as now for a real car that I’m sure he’ll request when he turns 18 and licensed to drive. Well for as long as he can promise that he’ll be careful and responsible enough to take care of it and for as long as he’d be knowledgeable about troubleshooting, its parts or honda accessories for example, then I’m fine with that. In fact, his Daddy would gladly retire from driving then and would be very willing to pass on the driving throne (errr, the steering wheel) to him.

This Week’s To Do

I have so much to do this coming week. It’s month end again and it’s that time when we have to fulfill a few obligations before another month starts:

1. Pay utility bills
2. Buy a few electrical supplies for the busted lights in the garage
3. Anticipate for a freight box from US that is scheduled to be delivered soon
4. Account January household expenses and prepare cash forecast and allot a budget for February expenses
5. Work on another blog project
6. Canvass furniture and appliances for LM
7. Replenish grocery supplies in the cupboard
8. Start the party preparations for the little one’s second birthday on March
9. Visit my folks in Makati who’ll be arriving from Saudi on Thursday

I’m looking forward to To Do #9. Perhaps I should also include the task of preparing paper and plastic bags for their pasalubongs. LOL

Blackish Bumps.

Just done browsing our holiday photos in my Flickr gallery. I got somewhat disturbed by one particular close up photo of mine (nope, I’m not posting the photo here) where my blackheads are very evident. Well, I’m not really a vain person and I don’t mind not having a blemish free face but it’s just that those blackish bumps erupted at the wrong place. I won’t tell where but just figure it out. It’s also sized kinda larger than the usual as if it’s screamingly inviting a blackhead extractor. How I wish I have seen them before I had my picture taken. I remember there was a time when I got so addicted using nasal pore strips especially when I see tons of them sticking on the strip after. And of course, I love that smooth feeling on the skin.

Multitasking

I think I have mastered this art ever since I became a Mom. If you are one, I’m sure you can relate with me given the tons of tasks we are faced with day to day. But I know that in cases of those real full time moms, it’s even way harder compared to mine. Even though I’m blessed to have a nanny who helps look after a very high spirited toddler, I still get occupied that much especially when I’m swamped with online works. So multitasking indeed gets a lot of work done in a breeze. Perfect example is now, I’m reading epiduo reviews while eating my snacks and looking after a son who’s busying himself with his toys.

By Hook or By Crook.

Save for the tentatively scheduled Acuatico getaway come summer, I don’t think we will have or we can have another future trips this year. We have plotted our priorities and even though we would love to, travelling isn’t included in the budget list. We’re just fortunate that my “balikbayan” sister from Doha volunteered to shoulder a portion of the Acuatico trip expenses so we’re not passing it up. This is actually tough because airlines are offering tempting deals left and right. I’m so itching to book ourselves and take advantage of the super low fares but no, I need to control myself. We might not be able to avail these enticing packages such as the Branson vacation packages this year but I will see to it that we’ll have them in two years time. I’ll make a way, save up for it. It will happen by hook or by crook!

Conceal It Digitally

If there’s such a thing as bad hair day, there are also days when you wake up with such a bad skin…meaning zits and rashes suddenly appear out of nowhere. And sometimes, of all days, these blemishes appear on days when you’re scheduled to have a photo shoot. Of course, there are make up concealers but in cases when it’s impossible to hide them, fret not because today’s modern software can work some digital makeover magic. The finished product is as if you’ve undergone a pimple and eczema treatment.

You don’t have to be a Photoshop expert to erase these facial blemishes. For the step-by-step procedure on how to edit erase facial blemishes using the Gaussian Blur feature, check out this article.

Tol’s Campaign.

Guess who was here in the neighborhood just a couple of hours ago. Well, it’s none other than “Tol”, a Quezon City mayoralty candidate in the upcoming elections. A basketball league was organized by a big time neighbor and the opening was conducted early this evening. He graced the opening so it was as if there was a grand fiesta here in our street. The basketball court was put up along the street, just a few steps away from our house. Then to make the opening more extravagant, the organizer gave away free food for all. For a while, I thought our street was transformed into an evacuation center where people queue up to have some of the giveaways. My son and I went out to the street and took a peek of the basketball game the husband was watching and at the same time, see “tol” up close. However, he hasn’t arrived that time. But nevertheless, I’ve seen how his presence comes with an agenda. Of course, it’s a part of his election campaign already. I wouldn’t wonder if I saw flyers and campaign materials like personalized pens, shirts, fans, etc. But fortunately, only a big streamer and a speech of how will he transform Quezon City were seemingly the campaign tools that he had.

Si Takaw.

Yesterday I had siomai and rice for snacks. This afternoon I had 2 orders (8 pcs) of squid balls (but didn’t feel full after). Tonight I had two and a half servings of rice because the viand is a favorite. What’s up with my appetite? Nah, I’m not pregnant and will not take any prenatal vitamins soon. Just checked my calendar and Aunt Flo is due to visit any moment. So there, I’m PMS-ing and these hormones are to be blamed.

Shamboo.

That’s how my 18 year old brother in law named the product he’s launching for a project in one of his college class. I think it’s for their English subject where they have to do a persuasive speech. He particularly picked the topic “prevent hair loss” by using a special type of shampoo. He coined it as “shamboo” after his monicker in school which is “boo”. He’s busy memorizing and practicing his speech now as the presentation will be tomorrow. Best of luck to him and hope he’s able to influence them all to try his product.

Want To Donate?

I’m on a blogging roll since this morning but nothing could stop me from taking a quick break to eat my snack: 4 pieces of siomai, half rice and a slice of bread. Should I start taking in adipex already? Absolutely not. You see despite feasting on such a very hearty non-main meal, I haven’t gained any extra pounds still and within the underweight mark. Anyone who’d want to “donate” their extra “body baggage”? I know a lot of you would do.
