Missing the Corporate World.

One of things I miss about my previous work or being employed in any workforce is the endless Christmas parties held at this time of the year. I miss the exchaging of gifts with my colleagues, the shopping of costumes we’d be wearing for the themed Christmas party, dance production practices for the program and of course, the bountiful food for everyone on the party day itself. It simply is a merrymaking and a breather for everyone.

I worked as a Purchasing Associate for an American call center company two years ago and my work basically consists of procuring goods and services to cater the needs of the operations group. I could remember that November and first two weeks of December were our busiest time because this is the period when we work on each department’s Christmas parties, giveaways and many more. Aside from the regular procurement tasks that we have like purchasing office supplies, business credit cards, facilities services requirements, and a whole lot more. We may be very busy but our excitement builds up because this is also the time when Christmas gifts from our beloved suppliers abound. On my last Christmas with them, I brought home lots of foodies and other goods. We raffled all the gifts that we received from our suppliers and from other departments.

These really make me miss working but nah, I’m not yet ready to go back to the corporate world. My son needs me more than ever so I’ll remain a SAHM for a while.
