No Pictures Yet.

How I wish I can transfer and upload all those Holiday pictures right now but I have to postpone that for the mean time as I am rushing a number of online works and we’re still quite busy with a lot of family activities. Despite my son’s hospitalization, the reason why we are not with my in laws in Baguio now, we still celebrated and enjoyed Christmas as planned and hoped. Hubby hasn’t checked the weighing scale yet but he’s suspecting that he needs a fitness equipment real soon to burn those extra calories away. As for me, again, I’m really blessed to have a body physique that rarely reacts to any overeating activity. Diet has never been a part of my Holiday vocabulary. Really lucky, eh?

An Auto Show

Come April 22 to 25, 2010, Worldbex Services International will hold once again the Manila International Auto Show. It is the biggest motoring event in the country and its goal is to uplift the local automotive industry by educating, entertaining and inspiring visitors and enthusiasts about the world of cars and accessories. The latest models and car makes will steal the show bringing the car enthusiasts, buyers, manufacturers, retailers, and suppliers all in delight. Who knows but the 2010 honda civic may be featured there as well as the toyota tacoma models of which aren’t still available our local auto shops. I’ve read great raves and reviews about these two cars at TheCarConnection.com and if only we’re not saving up for our house, I would have encouraged the husband to upgrade our “green machine”, a 2000 nissan sentra to a newer model. Or perhaps upgrade to a bigger vehicle like a SUV. I browse some chevy suburban photos at TheCarConnection.com and I’m pretty sure that the husband will find it interesting, excited even. Reviews and consumer opinions say that this model is economical, easy steering and “hushed demeanor on long freeway cruises”. Now this is absolutely perfect for our yearly Baguio getaway. Check out the comprehensive reviews and information about various autos at the TheCarConnection.com.

Missing the Corporate World.

One of things I miss about my previous work or being employed in any workforce is the endless Christmas parties held at this time of the year. I miss the exchaging of gifts with my colleagues, the shopping of costumes we’d be wearing for the themed Christmas party, dance production practices for the program and of course, the bountiful food for everyone on the party day itself. It simply is a merrymaking and a breather for everyone.

I worked as a Purchasing Associate for an American call center company two years ago and my work basically consists of procuring goods and services to cater the needs of the operations group. I could remember that November and first two weeks of December were our busiest time because this is the period when we work on each department’s Christmas parties, giveaways and many more. Aside from the regular procurement tasks that we have like purchasing office supplies, business credit cards, facilities services requirements, and a whole lot more. We may be very busy but our excitement builds up because this is also the time when Christmas gifts from our beloved suppliers abound. On my last Christmas with them, I brought home lots of foodies and other goods. We raffled all the gifts that we received from our suppliers and from other departments.

These really make me miss working but nah, I’m not yet ready to go back to the corporate world. My son needs me more than ever so I’ll remain a SAHM for a while.

Gift Wrapping.

While I’m blogging tonight and finishing some online tasks, the husband is busy wrapping up the Plasma Car which he’ll be gifting our son with. It’s kinda huge and it didn’t come with a box when he bought it so our bedroom now has scattered boxes and cardboards everywhere. He’s making an improvised one. It’s getting messy and if you don’t know what he’s up to, you might think that he’ll call up cross country moving companies later when he’s done because he looks like as if he’s house moving. Oh well, I’m excited for the little one. I just know that he’ll definitely enjoy his Christmas gift from Dad.

Christmas Bazaar

Last week, we went to World Trade Center for the World Bazaar Festival and that’s where we shopped for Christmas gifts. With hundreds of participating vendors, my eyes literally drool over those lovely tops and blouses priced at a bargain. So while we completed our gift list, I also bought 3 items for me on the side. I got two nice tops and a pair of shorts. Big thanks to the husband!

Aside from apparels, there were also lots of home stuffs that are reasonably priced. There were kitchen stuffs like plates, cooking wares, and bowls, lovely contemporary rugs for the living room, hampers, curtains and many more. I could have also shopped for the future house but unfortunately, we ran out of cash to splurge. The bazaar’s until the 16th so let’s see if I can return and shop again.
