My dad just called from overseas and he’s checking on us because he saw on the news the rage of typhoon Ondoy and the massive floods it caused in Metro Manila. I told him we’re perfectly fine and spared because we are situated in one of the highest parts of Frisco, to his relief. It’s been a while since I last talked with Daddy so hearing his voice was divine. Actually, I miss my family..especially my siblings. We’re all geographically separated that makes it impossible for us to see every now and then. I really can’t wait until March next year as I heard Dad and Mom will be coming home for vacation as well as my Qatar-based sister who’ll be bringing her daughter home in the country for the first time. I think it’s about time too that we have a grand family vacation. I’ve seen the family-oriented Karisma hotels and it would be nice to spend some chilling and relaxing time with them in the fine pristine sands of Riviera Maya and dine in their all-inclusive gourmet restaurants. I’ll take charge in the planning but, of course, each one has to pay for his own expense or better yet, I’ll ask Dad to shoulder everything for us. That’s a better idea, really.

If you want to take a photograph of your pet, take note of this tip I read from DPS:
* The statement: “Eyes are the windows to the soul and gives a photo it’s life” is so true. And it does not only apply to people but to pets, too. So be sure to focus the camera on they’re eyes. If possible, get down on their level where you can look upon them eye to eye and this will give you a very “human perspective” shot.

Suitcase…checked.
Vehicle machine…checked.
Other things to bring on the checklist…checked.
Ready to hit the road? Nah. Not yet. Before setting out especially for long drives and getaways, we must always have travel emergency numbers stored in our mobile phones or listed down so they may come in handy when the need arises. We’ll never know what happens on the road so it’s better if we are always prepared.

When I was still working in the corporate world, our vendo machine in the pantry was a time saver for a quick snack fix. We need not go out of the building anymore just to buy a cup of hot (or cold) coffee and snacks. Although we have a concessionaire on the 3rd floor and a convenience store on the ground floor, we still more often preferred buying from the vendo machine especially when we are in a hurry.
This also got me thinking how vending machine business can be so lucrative. Just imagine how many offices and employees rely on these. I bet the return on investment of such businesses is quickly achieved. In the US, Vendstar is the largest bulk vending machine company and they provide the highest quality state-of-the-art bulk vending machine at the lowest price points. Do check them out should you wish to venture into this business.

Lunch time was kind of passive for me because of some negative news that I’ve heard. It concerns a friend and her disappointing attitude. I’d rather not elaborate how bothersome her selfishness is. Instead, I’m giving her this doggie smile to wade off the negativity that her attitude brings.

Okay, I’m sure you got infected by this contagious smile and made you grin a bit too. Whether or not this dog underwent some dental implants Mexico, wouldn’t the world be a better place to live in if we all just smile, be selfless and do good to everyone?
