Asia Without Borders Photo Competition 2009
Stumbled upon a great photo contest announced at Facebook and I might as well repost it here for the amateur and professional photographers out there any country in the world.
Asian Geographic is holding a photo contest entitled: Asia Without Borders Photo Competition 2009. As the name implies, they are in search of special photographs that capture a striking image of Asia’s land, people, architecture or wildlife.
Up for grabs are prizes worth a total of over US$20,000 that will be awarded to one winner and one runner-up from each category, plus a grand prize for the best overall picture:
* Canon EOS 5D Mk II with Kit (EF 24-105mm) worth S$5,800
* Jet Airways Economy Return Ticket from Singapore to Delhi worth S$900
* Lowepro Nature Trekker AW products worth S$556
Categories include:
1. FACES OF THE EARTH
2. FACES OF ASIA
3. FACES OF THE WILD
and a special Young Photographer’s Category for those shutterbugs 21 years old and below.
The top photographs will be exhibited as part of an ‘Asia Without Borders’ Photography Exhibition in Singapore and published in the December Photo Annual Edition of ASIAN Geographic Magazine.
The competition closes on on 30 September, 2009 at 23:59 hours, Singapore time (GMT +8).
