NPR: Moving Houses.

Moving houses entails a lot of tedious works. Aside from packing and unpacking stuffs, there are several other things that one must take note and action of like hiring moving vehicles and the irksome process of informing the utility companies and other facilities about the cancellation or transfer of your accounts. For credit card, subscriptions, and any other mails, you each have to notify the company sender about the change in address.

I’m blogging about this because I just chanced upon my cousin over at YM who’s in the middle of some packing tasks because she’s moving. Actually, she’s transferring within the same county but even though it’s just near, she’s complaining about how dragging it is to undergo all those things I’ve mentioned above. She mentioned to me that, luckily, her Direct TV subscription can be continued and transferred without a hassle. It’s just funny because she has prioritized the directv transfer arrangement over the rerouting of her credit card bills to the new address. She says that next to the internet, Directv drives her homesickness away because of the Filipino TV programming that is offered by Direct TV in CA. Now I don’t wonder how come she’s so updated with the latest tv flicks and hot showbiz news back home.
